Privacy

This site doesn’t know who you are, and it keeps nothing about you.

What this site keeps, on your device only

  • your light or dark theme choice
  • whether you dismissed a notice

Nothing else. Ticks on a checklist and words typed in a filter stay on the page you are on and are gone when you leave it.

What it never does

  • No analytics, counters or tracking of any kind.
  • No cookies.
  • No forms, and no accounts or sign-up.
  • No service worker, so nothing is saved for offline use.
  • Nothing about you is stored: not your situation, your dates, your questions or what you read.
  • The only things kept, on your own device, are your light or dark theme choice and whether you closed a notice.
  • No network request from this site carries anything you read or type. Searching the question list happens in the page and is never sent anywhere or put in the address bar.
  • No scripts, fonts or images are loaded from other companies. Links to other sites do not tell them you came from here.

What the host keeps

  • This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives each request (the page address, your IP address and your browser type) in order to deliver the page, and may keep request logs for a period under its own policies.
  • We have not yet audited which logging products are turned on for our Cloudflare account, which fields they keep, who can see them or for how long. Before launch we will turn off anything optional and update this page with exactly what remains.
  • We store nothing about you. The site keeps only your theme choice and whether you closed a notice, on your device.
  • What our host, Cloudflare, keeps at the edge is described above; that statement is pending the logging audit due before launch.
  • If you email us, do not include details about yourself or anyone else. Email is not private.
  • Your device may still keep traces this site cannot control: browser history, synced history and downloads. See Leaving this site safely.
